Week #24 - So very Thankful

I do not know where to begin.. this has been quite a week, Filled with many moments of happiness and then those of Sorrow for the loss of loved ones.
This week we lost a very dear family member - Alton Arsenault. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin and friend to all who knew him, and even those who did not. He was an avid sportsman and was blessed with four beautiful daughters.. Heidi, Julie, Tracey and Amy. He will be forever missed at our annual Polland reunions and by all his other family and extended Family.. RIP Alton.

Julie, Heidi, Alton, Bev, Tracey, Amy

On a happier note, I am also glad to report that I was able to complete the 30 days of thanks challenge on Facebook.. I did not miss a beat.. Yes, some of my posts were pretty lame.. but overall, I think that I did a great job.

I would be remiss if I did not also recognize that this,  the week of Thanksgiving, we were so blessed to have Julia home with us. We picked her up at the airport on Wednesday night, she helped me cook turkey for Grammies on Thanksgiving day, and played with Gabe a lot.

On Friday we went Black Friday shopping and hung out to recover from the previous day's feast.. Of course.. Julia did more shopping than I, but who is keeping track?

On Saturday morning we went shopping for our first Real Christmas tree in years.. For several years we have been using an artificial tree and decided this year we would be very traditional and found a real tree that we liked.. it took several moments as Julia had to be sure (for Rachael) that it had "optimal present capacity!"

After much debate between Julia and her dad.. we had our tree... thank you to Sara and Larry Perry.. love you guys and thanks for having such great trees at such a great price!

this is the one!!!

we got it home and here it is all decorated
On Saturday Night we went to Augusta to meet Will and Rachael and had dinner then saw the Hunger Games.. Girl on FIre...OMG.. so awesome.

I cannot believe that Christmas is just 3 weeks away.. I think I have all my Xmas shopping done, as long as my friends at "FED UP" (Fed Ex and UPS) come through as promised..
Looking forward to a few exciting weeks coming up...
Dance recital.. Yes  you heard me... I will be performing in a dance recital :)
Then making Meat pies with Aunt Evelyn and Beth.. YAY!
Following that we have the Polar Express and many Many more exciting adventures.. stay tuned

Oh forgot to tell you.... the Stockings are hung!
