Hello Blog Buddies..
Fall in Maine is winding down...the temperature is changing and we now look forward to winter and snowmobiling.. I found this beautiful picture of Katahdin in the fall. Joe and I booked a week at the Condo in Island Falls for Late January and will be snowmobiling (we hope) as well as Ice Fishing up there.. for those of you that follow my other blog.. this is #54 on my list of 101 things to do..
Looking forward to seeing all our family and friends in Milliknockett this winter.
It was a typical work week, yet I was surprised on Wednesday when staff showered me with gifts for Bosses Day! Thanks everyone.. I am now the proud owner of an Orchid plant and a beautifully smelling candle.
Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.
Friday I left work a little early because Gabe was coming over to Memere's house to sleep... But I first stopped by Maria's shop and got a new haircut...I love it.. so far, very easy to handle.
Gabe was as fun as usual... He was in the living room and he let one rip.. he smiled and looked at me and said "oooh, Memere' I fart!" so I said " Gabe, what do you say" and Gabe Replies "Good one"
Try not laughing at that one!
Here he is outside enjoying the last few times on his swing set before winter.
After Gabe left on Saturday I had lots to do.. I wanted to be sure to get my Strawberry Rhubarb Wine bottles, I also had to make a Gluten free Wedding Cake......
Hmmmm
What to do first... The wine of course.. and I have to say it is amazing..cant wait to start drinking it.
I did spare one bottle to label very specially for the happy couple for them to enjoy in one year on their first anniversary. Congratulations to Stephanie and Alex Sinclair.. and I am glad you liked my Chocolate Zucchini Gluten free Wedding cake.
The reception was fun as usual at the home of Said and Denise Daoud.. oh and Denise and I booked our rooms for The weekend after Christmas in Boston... Yay.
So you would think after this week I would take a break and rest on Sunday...Oh no.. you bloggers do not know me well do you...
Today, Sunday, was "Put the wood in at Grammie's house day"
We had a wonderful time, Chris, Linda, Nicholas, Lenny, Gabe, Joe, myself, Buddha (aka Dennis Swan) Dana, Ralph (Grammie's new friend ) and Grammie of course, spent the whole day splitting and piling wood... and we got it all done.
Afterwards we watched the end of the Patriots Game.........UGH... lost in Overtime to the Jets.. Oh well. The weekend was not a total loss for us here in New England.. Last night the Red Sox clinched the American League Championship and are going to the World Series..
LUVS and GO SOX!
