Week #29 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow, Now I know I am more than halfway through this year of blogging.. It has been so much fun and I cant believe how much I have enjoyed writing this. I will miss it for sure.

So on to this week.. It started out quite tiring actually. Having the Christmas Holiday in the middle of the week sent everyone into a Holiday slump. Even at work, people were not as peppy, and the flu has hit so we have had people not feeling well. On top of that, we were faced with yet another week with the holiday right smack in the middle of the week... Oh well, in order to make the best of it, I of course held my annual New Year's Eve Open house and we had a wonderful time. Many old friends, family and new friends were in attendance.

First Time for Jack and Charlotte as well as John and Christina Kroger.. A good time was had by everyone, there was plenty of food, Wine and of Course Champagne. Of course, The "Card People" quickly found each other and claimed a spot of their own in the living room!

I think Maria tried to beat her, but Gri Gri always Wins!
Many People stayed for the ringing in of 2014. We did Traditional Window seat pictures which will be on the wall for next year. And of course the tradition toast at Midnight.

Ringing in 2014

Joe and I together have two resolutions we are trying to accomplish together. The first is a Praise Jar.
This Jar will sit in our house all year, all who enter, Family and friends, are welcome to write something on the provided card that they are happy about. Then next year, on New Years day, we will open the jar and read them all. So looking forward to what we have to be thankful and happy about this year.
The other thing we are doing is the 52 week money Challenge.. Every Week, we place money in savings starting with Week 1 (Dec 1), Week 1 we put in $1, week 2 $2 and so on and so forth. So today was week Five, we placed in $5. At the end of 52 weeks we will have $1,378.00 and we will use it to do something fun.

Speaking of fun. We have booked our trip to Myrtle Beach with Said and Denise Daoud for this Spring.. looking forward to a week of R and R on the beach, laying in the sun, reading books, Fishing and golf.

But before that, we have a lot of winter fun ahead of us here in Maine. Gabe slept over last night and we took him our sledding today, as Mother nature has decided to get the temperatures up over 10 degrees (thank you)

Gabe had fun but as usual, he wore us out and we are ready to settle down for a long winters nap. See you all next week...

Bye Bye
and
LUVS
