Week #20 - Trick or treats with a Pirate - Kitchen renovation starts and of course.. the Red Sox Win the World Series in 6 games

This is the First Year Gabe actually went out to trick or treat.. other than family homes of course.. Lenny and Karri took him on the Dixfield walk and invited us along. Gabe loved it and quickly realized what was expected of him.. he had a blast..

Of course.. he was the cutest Pirate I have ever seen.. although it rained, the temps were warm and we all had a great time walking and trick or treating from Dirigo high school, down to the end of Weld street, by the bank and back up to our vehicles at the high school.

The Kitchen Remodel:

Although against Lenny's better judgement, we have decided to start the kitchen remodel.. yes.. .. only a few weeks away from the busy holiday season.. but I work hard under pressure.. and if I wait till after Christmas.. well that is SMB season.. and no way am I spending my weekends inside painting.. so here we go.

Here is a before picture of the kitchen area.

We took all the doors off the cupboards... sanded them and  repaired those in need.. Lenny helped us pick out paint and hardware at Aubuchons...

Saturday morning we started.....

Doors are down.. sanded and we are ready for the Primer.

Next week I hope to post pics of the Doors back on and the new hardware on ... It will be three weeks before we are done.. but we are looking forward to our new kitchen.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sox win it in 6 games.. and although they have won 3 world series in the last ten years.. this is the first time they have won it at Home.. at Fenway park, since 1918..

My dad would have been so excited. I hope he was watching... he probably had the best seat in the house.. Miss you dad!

This year was very special in that all from Boston are still in shock and recovering from the Bombings at the Boston Marathon.. the year has been all about being "Boston Strong"

I of course watched all the games and was exhausted by the end of the week.. but felt rejuvenated on Thursday morning when I walked out on the Unit to see my Case worker/Utilization review Nurse dressed like this!
