Week #43 Surprise Visit to Wisconsin

Sorry to my dear faithful followers for being late with this week's blog.. It has been crazy since I got back from Wisconsin.. Flew in on Monday afternoon, went to a meeting in Lewiston.. To work early in Bridgton on Tuesday, and early morning in Rumford today with the OFCU Annual meeting tonight.. So it is now almost 9pm on Wednesday and I figured I better get this one done..

Cannot believe I am down to the last 10 blogs!

Last week was a blast... and most of you know why.. I planned a long weekend to go visit my brother John in Wisconsin.. what he did not know is that I was bringing someone with me to surprise him.....
Here is a picture of Beth on the plane...looking quite spiffy for 5 am on a Friday.........When we landed, we had "Mission Accomplished" all that were in on the secret did a great job and he was totally surprised.

In addition to bringing Beth, we both brought our guitars and enjoyed 3 days of playing all the songs we know and love.. John's neighbor Jaek Rock (yes that is how he spells his name)  joined us on Sunday and also played.. Thanks Jaek for letting us use one of your amps all weekend..
PS Be sure to Youtube Jaek if you like ice fishing and find his video "Wish Fish were here"

Friday night Jody hosted a lovely BBQ with her wonderful family joining us... Candace, Jordan, LJ, Cooper, Chad, Jessica and Little Hudson.. We had so much fun and the food (BRATS) was amazing...Mother nature cooperated and gave us sunshine and warmth.. all in all a wonderful day.

Saturday we woke up and took Beth on a tour of Racine and Lake Michigan, It was cold and overcast but she got a nice tour none the less. We came back to John's and enjoyed watching Movies in 3D and drinking Bloody Mary's.

Sunday morning John took Alec to the video store and then wanted to take a nap.. Beth and I took this opportunity to go for a walk and "Stalk" an old friend who I knew lived nearby.. I think she was almost as surprised and excited to see us as John.

It was so nice to see Colette and her kids who are growing up way too fast.. Colette was just on her way out to go to her new little job she has.. A consignment shop called "FRUGALLERY"
so we tagged along.. it was adorable and I wish her the best of luck with it,... I know she will make it a success.
When we got back to Johns on Sunday he was ready to play, and play we did... My fingers are still sore and we played well into the evening.. so much fun and I cannot wait for him to come home this summer so we can play again..

See you all in a few days... Easter pictures and the Rising waters of Rumford on deck for next weeks blog.
