Also, congratulations to my brother Dan, wife and Amy and their son Doug for conquering all the summits they did this week in Utah at Zion National Park. I am proud of you all.
The First day of Spring arrived this week..you would not know it in Maine as we also saw on the same day, another foot of snow.
We are taking it all in stride here and have been taking advantage of the new snow and riding our sleds as much as possible. I took a long weekend from work to do just that.
On Friday we left Peru with Chris and Linda and rode to their camp on Mooselookmegantic, we had an awesome ride, the camp is beautiful and the renovations inside are coming along very nicely.
Nick and Vanessa rode up in the truck and took us out to dinner at Sarge's. When we got back we sat around the stove, having cocktails and making plans for the summer.
We woke up on Saturday to more new snow and beautiful skies.. We ate breakfast and headed out on the trails, only to find them groomed and AWESOME!
We made great time and found ourselves home an hour earlier than planned... so we decided to go out to eat at the Thai Restaurant.. I recommend the Orange Chicken. After dinner we went to Lenny and Karri's so Chris and Linda can see the house and meet Greyson.
We went home to get rested up and prepare for Gabe to come over Sunday and play.
To our surprise, we were treated to both boys for the day.. Lenny and Karri took a much needed break and went out to lunch and to a movie. We got to spend the day with the boys! :)
Gabe found his sunglasses from this summer and wanted to wear them.
Joe went first and took Gabe over to Maine Maple Sunday at the Thurston sugar shack.
Gabe was excited to ride the horse drawn carriage, Uncle Chris was there to take pictures (note Gabe wearing the sunglasses)
There was no maple syrup to buy so we placed our order for when they do get it made. Joe brought Gabe home and proceeded to take him on his first Snowmobile ride.. Gabe Loved it!
Meanwhile, in the house, Greyson was an angel. I was able to make a beautiful dinner for us with Lenny and Karri later, I also made a cake and popovers. After I fed Greyson he went down for a good nap and it was my turn to play with Gabe.
I got him all suited up to go out snowboarding... Sunglasses and all
He has amazing balance and loves to ride.
Good job Gabe!
He didnt even fall.
After snowboarding we went in to warm up and have hot chocolate. Gabe's parents called to say they were on their way home so Gabe decided to watch a movie while he waited for them.
I think it took about 4 minutes to find him like this...
Yes, he never took off the sungalsses.. ALL DAY!
Until next week blog followers.. Only 12 more weeks!
LUVS
